Ohhh Boston. I'll be back.

A one day trip to explore Boston! Amazing.A city full of so much history and great places to duck into .... Like Mike's Pastry shop on Hanover street. I just stumbled upon this place, walked in to have coffee and of course the beautiful and bountiful display of pastries beckoned me. Boston cream pie was my choice. Cannoli's are the specialty items. The entire street appeared to be an Italian cornucopia of little romantic restaurants. It would be a wonderful dinner spot .

Continuing my adventure ..... As I walked back towards Quincy Market ( another must see) I saw my next stop. High atop the building rooftop was the sign Union Oyster House. Obviously, a sign from above as I am a lover of good oysters. Jackpot! This place was the oldest restaurant in Boston and oldest restaurant in the US in continuous service. The oyster bar was the original shucking bar from the 1800's. Anton ( my shucker/server) was full of history and passion for oysters. Like a proud parent, out came the photo album of oyster memorabilia. He told me I must visit the oyster bar under Grand Central Station because of their amazing selection....Okay!
